Resolves YES if Agencia Estatal de Meteorología (AEMET) or the responsible regional meteorological authority publishes an explicit official confirmation, in an AEMET press release, a regional meteorological bulletin, or a clearly labelled official records update, that one or more named Spanish provinces recorded a new officially confirmed all-time maximum daily temperature on a date between July 29, 2026 and August 16, 2026 inclusive. The confirmation must be published no later than August 16, 2026. Provisional or unconfirmed station readings, statements that values are 'under investigation', or ties with previous provincial records do not count, and corroboration from major Spanish outlets such as EFE, RTVE, or El País is allowed.
