Results Sep 7🤖 Context
The market required an official Météo‑France statement by September 6, 2026 saying that at least one observing station in metropolitan France recorded a new highest-ever daily maximum for the month of September. Météo‑France published on Sunday 6 September 2026 that several sites, including Auch, Agen, Montauban and Avignon, recorded ‘‘valeur inédite pour un mois de septembre’’, and an AFP-sourced article in Libération the next day corroborated unprecedented September values at places such as Albi, Auch and Aurillac. Those statements mean at least one station’s observed daily maximum strictly exceeded its previous September record, so the market resolves to yes.

Final crowd probability
The crowd was 77% sure, and they nailed it.
Why: Météo-France reported on Sunday, September 6, that several stations (e.g., Auch, Agen, Montauban, Avignon) reached “valeur inédite pour un mois de septembre,” i.e., unprecedented September maxima at those sites, which by definition strictly exceed their previous September records. An AFP-sourced report in Libération the next day corroborated that unprecedented September values were recorded on Sunday in multiple cities including Albi, Auch, and Aurillac. Therefore, at least one station in metropolitan France set a new site-level September daily-maximum record on 2026-09-06.

Given the current heatwave across France, it's highly plausible that at least one location will set a new September temperature record tomorrow. Météo-France is likely to document it.
