The gust must be recorded and published by an official DWD synoptic or automatic station located within the Federal Republic of Germany. • Reports in m/s are converted to km/h by multiplying by 3.6 and the official published number is used. Preferred sources are DWD station observations or DWD situation reports; equivalent official state meteorological agency station logs or major German national/regional media quoting an official DWD station observation are admissible. • Source: Deutsche Wetterdienst (DWD).
