Mobile App Accessibility - Clutch
Last updated: November 3, 2026
This page describes the accessibility of the Clutch mobile app for iOS and Android. We want everyone to be able to browse markets, place predictions, follow their bets and redeem rewards, whatever the way they use their phone.
Screen readers (VoiceOver and TalkBack)
- Buttons, tabs, toggles and text fields have spoken names, and their state is announced (selected, checked, expanded, busy).
- Market, bet and leaderboard cards are read as one clear summary, for example the question, the chance of Yes and the closing date.
- The stake slider can be adjusted by swiping up or down.
- Actions hidden behind a long press, such as reporting a comment, are available from the screen reader actions menu.
- Important events are announced, such as a bet placed, a reward earned or an error.
- Pop-ups do not close on their own while a screen reader is running, and rotating carousels pause, so you can read at your own pace.
- Pop-ups and overlays keep focus inside them and can be closed with the escape gesture.
Display and motion
- Dark mode: choose System, Light or Dark in Settings.
- Reduce Motion: celebrations and animations are toned down, and counters show their final value straight away.
- Increase Contrast (iOS) and High contrast text (Android): secondary text becomes darker and easier to read.
- Text size: the app follows the text size you choose in your phone settings.
Known limitations
We are still working on the following:
- At the very largest accessibility text sizes, some screens can wrap or cut off text.
- Some emoji inside text are read aloud by name.
- This page covers the mobile app only, not the clutch.vip website.
