🤖 Context

The rule required that by September 20, 2026 at 11:59 PM (UTC-6) Rafael Mercadante must not have been officially eliminated, expelled, withdrawn, or otherwise removed and must be presented as still competing in the September 20 Gala episode and its recaps on the TV Azteca La Granja VIP site and ordinary entertainment press. Contemporary coverage from TV Azteca, El Financiero, and an AS gala recap updated on 2026-09-20 present Rafael Mercadante as a current contestant, name María Karunna as the person eliminated that night, and list Mercadante on the season roster. Because no reporting shows he was removed or withdrawn in the gala or its recaps by the deadline, the condition is met and the market resolves to yes.

Final crowd probability

The crowd was 53% sure, and they nailed it.

Why: Multiple independent, contemporaneous sources in the supplied evidence present Rafael (Rafa) Mercadante as a current contestant and do not report his removal during the Sept 20, 2026 gala. The gala recap from AS (updated 2026-09-20) names María Karunna as the eliminated participant that night and lists the season roster that includes Rafael Mercadante. El Financiero’s Sep 20 pre‑gala piece and TV Azteca’s own coverage treat Mercadante as an active competitor (he is not listed as eliminated or withdrawn). No source in the provided pool reports that Rafa was eliminated, expelled, withdrawn or otherwise removed as of the Sept 20 gala or in its recaps, so the evidence supports YES.

With just days to go, it seems unlikely Mercadante will be removed before the gala. The show thrives on cliffhangers, and maintaining his presence boosts viewer interest. So, yes.
