YES if Spain's AEMET or the relevant autonomous community's official meteorological service publishes that one or more autonomous communities recorded an official all‑time highest maximum daily temperature no later than August 10, 2026. If no such official publication exists by that date, YES if at least two major independent national news outlets (for example EFE and RTVE) report it. Provisional or unvalidated station readings not recognised by AEMET or the regional authority by that date do not count, and a measurement that only ties the previous regional record counts as NO.
