League, Club, World: why your Clutch scores never quite match

You open your league and see one number. You open your club and see a different one. You check the world leaderboard and it is different again. This is the question we get more than any other, so let us settle it for good. The short version: there is only one score in Clutch — the Points you win — and the three leaderboards just count those Points over different crowds and different time windows.
One note before the details. Clutch is free to play with no real money. You stake Credits, which you earn for free, and when you are right you win Points, which you can redeem for rewards. Everything below is about how those Points are counted, not about cash.
First, how a single Point is calculated
Every market is a yes/no question, and the odds are just the crowd's answer. Each market starts near 50/50 and the price moves as Credits pile onto one side. That price is the probability, and the moment you place your bet, it locks in your reward. Later shifts in the odds do not change what you already locked.
The formula in one line
- Your reward scales with your stake divided by the probability, minus a small house margin that keeps the game balanced.
- Lower probability (a longer shot) means a bigger reward for the same stake. Backing a heavy favorite pays little.
- The odds you saw at the exact second you bet are the ones that count — not the final odds when the market closes.
- Stake 100 Credits on a coin-flip market at 50%, and a win is worth roughly 480 Points.
- Stake the same 100 Credits on an 80% favorite, and a win is worth only about 300 Points.
- Stake it on an 8% longshot, and a single win can be worth around 3,000 Points.
And here is the part that matters for every leaderboard: you only bank those Points if you are right. A losing bet banks zero. So your score is the sum of the payouts from your winning bets — that single running total is what feeds all three leaderboards. There is no separate "Clutch score" hiding somewhere.
Three leaderboards, one score
If the score is the same everywhere, why three boards? Because each one compares you to a different crowd.
Same Points, three different crowds
- World ranking — you are ranked against every player on Clutch, for the current month.
- League — the same monthly Points, but you are ranked inside your own division against a small group of players at your level. Do well and you climb toward the next tier over the months; slip and you drop.
- Club — only the members of your club are ranked, never club against club. It is your private scoreboard with the people you invited.
Why the same player sees different totals
This is the real source of the confusion. Two things change from one board to the next: the crowd you are compared to, and the window of time being counted.
Where the numbers come apart
- Different crowd, different rank: being #4,000 in the world and #2 in your club are both true at the same time — they just rank you against different people.
- Your club only counts from the day you joined: bets you placed before joining a club never show up there, so your club total can look lower than your world total.
- Your club also keeps an all-time view that never resets, so over time it can climb far past any single month.
One last thing: right after a bet settles, the numbers can take a moment to update across every board, so a fresh win might show in one place a beat before another. Give it a minute and they line back up.
What resets on the 1st of the month (and what does not)
Nothing gets deleted at month end. The monthly boards simply start counting a new month, so they read zero on the 1st. Everything you actually own carries straight over.
- Resets to zero (on the 1st, UTC): your world ranking Points and rank, your league standings, and your club’s "this month" view.
- Carries over untouched: your lifetime Points balance, your Credits, your league tier, your club’s all-time board, and your entire track record.
So the number next to your name in a league is what you earned this month, not since the beginning — that is why it can be far below your lifetime total. Fresh month, fresh race, same track record.
