🤖 Context

The market required that the Commanders' official roster page or the NFL's official transactions list show a recorded transaction placing Stefon Diggs under contract by 11:59 PM EDT on August 15, 2026. On August 5, 2026 multiple independent outlets including the Associated Press, Reuters, NBC Washington and local site Hogs Haven reported that the Commanders agreed to and announced a contract for Stefon Diggs, with Hogs Haven publishing contract terms citing the team announcement. Because the team announced and independent outlets corroborated the signing on August 5, 2026, which is before the August 15 deadline, the market resolves yes.

Final crowd probability

The crowd was 62% sure, and they nailed it.

Why: Multiple independent, credible outlets reported that Stefon Diggs signed with the Washington Commanders prior to the stated deadline. The Associated Press (via RochesterFirst) reported Aug 5 that “The Commanders agreed with Diggs on a contract,” Reuters (Aug 5) reported the Commanders were set to sign Diggs, and NBC Washington (Aug 5) headlined that the Commanders signed the veteran receiver. Local/beat coverage (Hogs Haven) published contract terms shortly after, citing the team announcement. These independent reports corroborate that Diggs was placed under contract on/around 2026-08-05, which is before the 2026-08-15 23:59 EDT cutoff.

With only ten days to go, it's unlikely Diggs signs with Washington. Given the timing and his current situation, I don't see this happening before the deadline.
