Ergebnisse 3. Sept. The market counts as yes if, by September 2, 2026, Chevron publicly issues an official announcement that it will expand its operations in Venezuela and that two or more independent major news organizations corroborate that announcement. On September 2, 2026 Chevron published a press release titled “Chevron expands position in Venezuela” saying it was assigned additional acreage in the Orinoco Belt and plans to invest over $7 billion over the next five years to more than double production to about 600,000 barrels a day, and AP, CNBC and NPR published corroborating reports the same day. Because this was an official Chevron announcement with confirmation from multiple major outlets, the market resolves yes.

Warum: Chevron’s own newsroom published an official press release dated September 2, 2026 titled “Chevron expands position in Venezuela” that states the company has been assigned additional acreage in the Orinoco Belt and “plans to invest over $7 billion over the next five years, more than doubling production to approximately 600,000 barrels a day” — an explicit, concrete commitment to expand operations as defined in the question. Major independent news organizations (AP, CNBC, NPR — among others) reported the same announcement on Sept. 2, 2026, corroborating the company’s public statement.
